Introduction : The Game Itself

Since seven card stud eight-or-better doesn’t get spread in major cardrooms as often as some of the other forms of poker, the game can vary a great deal.

Sometimes you will be sitting with mostly experts; at other times, several weak players may be present.

And as we will see is also true in Omaha eight-or-better the high-limit games play differently from the smaller games (though not, in general, to the same degree).

In addition, the character of the game that you are in can change very quickly.

This is especially true during the major tournaments, where many seven card stud eight-or-better games still appear, since online poker players in the side games frequently play only for a short period of time.

In any case, to be successful, you must be able to make the appropriate strategy changes that are required.

Although many of the concepts already discussed will still apply, some changes need to be pointed out.
